\n 2017 Carleton University Teaching Awards call for nominations\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Are you interested in pursuing a 2017 Carleton University Teaching Award? Or do you know an outstanding educator who deserves recognition? Get your nomination or application in before the deadline on April 16, 2017. There are four awards currently open for nominations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Provost\u2019s Fellowship in Teaching Award<\/strong>
\nThis award recognizes faculty and contract instructors dedicated to sustained excellence in teaching, scholarship of teaching and the continual development of teaching. Three awards of $2,500 will be given out each year. Recipients of this award are also designated as Carleton University Teaching Fellows.

New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award<\/strong>
\nNew faculty bring an energy and excitement to their teaching, often motivating those around them to challenge themselves and their practices. The Educational Development Centre developed this award to recognize those new faculty members who underscore Carleton\u2019s commitment to teaching excellence and innovation. Three awards of $500 will be given out each year.

Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award<\/strong>
\nThe Educational Development Centre has established this award in recognition of faculty and contract instructors who thoughtfully and meaningfully incorporate technology into their teaching and learning practices. Two awards of $750 are presented annually.

Excellence in Learning Support Award<\/strong>
\nThis award recognizes the many Carleton University educational support staff members who contribute to the student learning experience. Though they do not hold instructor, faculty or teaching assistant positions, these individuals positively impact student learning through their tireless work and support in labs, classrooms and many other diverse learning environments across Carleton. One award of $750 will be presented annually. Please note: Teaching and Learning Services staff members (EDC, CUOL, IMS and OAVPTL) are not eligible for this award.
