{"id":20250,"date":"2017-08-16T09:40:46","date_gmt":"2017-08-16T13:40:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/edc\/?p=20250"},"modified":"2021-08-13T10:10:12","modified_gmt":"2021-08-13T14:10:12","slug":"get-ready-fall-term-culearn-sessions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/2017\/get-ready-fall-term-culearn-sessions\/","title":{"rendered":"Get ready for the fall term with our cuLearn sessions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Whether you are new to Carleton or a seasoned instructor looking to change up your course, cuLearn is a great tool for extending your classroom.<\/p>\n<p>The EDC is hosting a number of cuLearn sessions in the coming weeks to help you get the most out of Carleton\u2019s learning management system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Introduction to cuLearn<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Aug. 18, 9 \u2013 10:30 a.m.; Aug. 25, 10 a.m. \u2013 12 p.m.; Aug. 29, 5 \u2013 7 p.m.; Sept. 6, 10 a.m. \u2013 12 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Come to our introductory session for a hands-on tour of Carleton\u2019s learning management system to learn how to navigate cuLearn and set up your course. By the end of this session, you\u2019ll know how to post a welcome announcement for your students, upload a personal profile and contact information, add course resources, such as a course outline and external URL links, setup and modify your course layout, and more!<\/p>\n<p><strong>cuLearn Drop-In Sessions<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Aug. 23, 1 \u2013 3 p.m.; Aug. 30, 1 \u2013 3 p.m.; Sept. 12, 10 a.m. \u2013 12 p.m.; Sept. 15, 10 a.m. \u2013 12 p.m. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>These drop-in sessions provide an opportunity for you to work on your cuLearn course with an educational technology consultant nearby who can answer questions and help with course preparation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>cuLearn Gradebook Session<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>Sept. 6, 1 \u2013 2:30 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Explore the power and flexibility of the cuLearn gradebook.
