Two external awards are currently open for applications – the D2L Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning and the Alan Blizzard Award in Collaborative Teaching. D2L Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning<\/strong><\/a>
\nDeadline: Jan. 20, 2019<\/em><\/p>\n

Do you take an innovative approach to your teaching, whether it\u2019s through your course design, assessment methods or use of technologies? Then apply for a 2019 D2L Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning!<\/p>\n

The award, sponsored by the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) and Desire2Learn, recognizes innovative approaches that promote student-centred teaching and learning at the post-secondary level. Candidates do not need to be members of STLHE to apply. Winners will receive $2,200 toward travel and registration costs for the annual STLHE conference, a two-year membership to STLHE and a certificate of recognition. As many as five awards are presented annually.<\/p>\n

Alan Blizzard Award in Collaborative Teaching<\/strong><\/a>
\nDeadline: Feb. 15, 2019<\/em><\/p>\n

STLHE is also accepting applications for the Alan Blizzard Award. The award is open to groups of two or more individuals, at least one of whom must be currently teaching at a Canadian post-secondary institution (colleges, c\u00e9geps, polytechnics and\/or universities). The team may be from a single department\/faculty\/school or represent interdisciplinary collaboration within or among institutions.<\/p>\n

The team that receives the award will present their project as a concurrent or poster session at the upcoming STLHE Annual Conference. The winners will receive up to $3,500 toward travel and registration costs for the conference and a certificate of recognition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
