As a consequence, we need to carefully utilize a variety of teaching and learning media \u2013 words, pictures, sounds \u2013 to promote effective learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us on Feb. 19 from 1-4 p.m. for a workshop that will introduce the basics of the cognitive theory of multimedia learning (CTML). We&#8217;ll discuss how we can apply the principles derived from it when designing instruction, whether we teach a live class, use presentation slides or design online lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working in groups, you\u2019ll analyze provided examples of learning with multimedia, and suggest improvements based on the examined principles.
