Good visual design can also enhance your students\u2019 comprehension of course materials. This June, we&#8217;re offering two mini &#8220;bootcamps&#8221; to help you incorporate images and videos into your courses in meaningful ways.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/edc\/cu-events\/using-images-to-improve-learning\/\">Using Images to Improve Learning<\/a><br \/>\n<em>June 12-13, 10 a.m. &#8211; 3 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Where do you find images and graphics? What are the guidelines about using them? And how can you create or modify images and graphics to suit your needs better? If you want to know more about all of these topics, come to our imaging \u201cbootcamp.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over two days, we will review pedagogically-sound practices and design recommendations, work on image editing skills, and explore creative ideas for image\/graphic use in your class. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to devise when and what kind of images and visuals to use to strengthen your message.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/edc\/cu-events\/making-video-that-matters\/\">Making Video that Matters<\/a><br \/>\n<em>June 25-27, 10 a.m. &#8211; 3 p.m.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Video is an effective tool to incorporate into your classroom \u2013 whether it\u2019s in a face-to-face or online setting.
