{"id":23113,"date":"2019-10-10T10:09:55","date_gmt":"2019-10-10T14:09:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/edc\/?p=23113"},"modified":"2021-08-13T10:07:32","modified_gmt":"2021-08-13T14:07:32","slug":"encourage-an-exceptional-undergraduate-student-to-represent-carleton-at-ncur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/2019\/encourage-an-exceptional-undergraduate-student-to-represent-carleton-at-ncur\/","title":{"rendered":"Encourage an exceptional undergraduate student to represent Carleton at NCUR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of Carleton\u2019s ongoing support for undergraduate involvement in research, the Discovery Centre is pleased to provide financial support for a select number of students to attend the\u00a0U.S. National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) at Montana State University March 26-28, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>NCUR gives students an opportunity to present research to their peers, receive valuable feedback from faculty from other institutions, network with colleagues and hear from inspiring plenary speakers.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a student in mind who has been doing exceptional research, please encourage them to <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/discoverycentre\/ncur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">submit an abstract proposal<\/a> to the Discovery Centre <strong>by Oct. 31<\/strong>. When preparing their proposal, students should follow the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cur.org\/what\/events\/students\/ncur\/2020\/ncur_2020_abstract_guidelines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guidelines provided by NCUR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Limited spaces are available. The Discovery Centre will notify both you and your student by email if they have been selected.
