Please note that some academic units also offer departmental TA Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards celebrate Carleton TAs\u2019 dedication to undergraduate learning. TAs occupy a challenging position at the university: they carry a great deal of responsibility and have an incredibly important role working with both students and faculty. These awards aim to shine a light on the work that teaching assistants do around the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nomination form for 2019-2020 is now open: <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tasupport\/outstanding-ta-awards-nominations\/\">https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tasupport\/outstanding-ta-awards-nominations\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to five awards are given out annually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each award is valued at $250 and includes a certificate and formal recognition on a plaque outside of the EDC training room (422 Dunton Tower)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All nominations are\u00a0<strong>due 3pm, March 9, 2020.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EDC\u2019s Outstanding TA Award is a university-wide award, open to all TAs in all faculties, designed to recognize teaching excellence among Carleton\u2019s TAs.
