As we approach the summer term, we want to remind you of the supports available through\u00a0Teaching and Learning Services\u00a0(TLS)\u00a0to help you design and deliver your courses.\u00a0If you have any question about the information below, please contact us at\u00a0tls@carleton.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brightspace Training\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

TLS\u00a0is hosting\u00a0instructor\u2013focused\u202fBrightspace\u00a0training\u00a0workshops\u202fto help you get started on Carleton\u2019s new Learning Management System (LMS) ahead of the launch on May 6.\u00a0Brightspace Basics sessions\u00a0provide\u202fan\u00a0overview of all the basic tools involved in an initial course set\u202fup. Intermediate\/Advanced workshops are\u202falso\u202favailable\u202fon\u202fa variety of\u202ftopics, such as\u202fassignments and\u202frubrics,\u202fquizzes,\u202fdiscussions,\u202fand\u202fgradebook.\u202fRegister for an upcoming session<\/a>\u202for check\u202fout recordings of past sessions on the\u00a0new\u00a0Brightspace\u00a0Mediaspace\u00a0channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On-Campus Lecture Recording\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you’re interested in recording\u00a0a course introduction\u00a0or entire lecture, on-campus recording is available\u00a0in one of our\u00a0operator\u00a0assisted\u00a0classroom studios. Simply\u202ffill out our request form<\/a>\u202fand\u00a0we\u00a0will get in\u202ftouch with you to set it up.<\/p>\n

Equipment Loans\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In need of additional equipment? We provide equipment loans to help you\u00a0and your TA(s)\u00a0support,\u00a0develop and teach online courses. Types of equipment available for loan include Microsoft Tablets, iPads, document cameras and more. If you would like to borrow equipment\u00a0for yourself or your TA,\u202fsubmit your request here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Additional Support\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

For additional support, our\u202fTeaching Online page<\/a>\u202fhas various resources to help you design and deliver your course, work with\u202fyour TAs, support your students, and more.
