Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) has continued to make incredible progress on initiatives that ensure Carleton remains at the cutting edge in Canadian higher education. Within Ottawa, across Canada, and around the world, Carleton is continuing to share knowledge and shape the future.<\/p>\n
As we progress further into the summer term, let\u2019s take one last look back at winter 2022 and celebrate some of the accomplishments that shaped the term.<\/p>\n
$2,000,000 Invested in Future Learning Lab<\/strong><\/p>\n The Government of Ontario has provided $1 million in funding to support the creation of a new space at Carleton that will bring educators and students together to share, research and design. This investment, along with a matching contribution from the university, will support the transformation of the fourth floor of the MacOdrum Library, including the Discovery Centre, into a newly designed space called the Future Learning Lab.<\/p>\n 1,100+ Unique Instructors and Staff Engaged with TLS<\/strong><\/p>\n TLS has continued to support the professional development of Carleton’s teaching community. In all, 1,176 unique instructors and staff members engaged with TLS during the winter 2022 term for pedagogical and technological support. In reality, many of these engagements involved multiple touchpoints with TLS.<\/p>\n
