{"id":44976,"date":"2022-09-19T10:00:30","date_gmt":"2022-09-19T14:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/?p=44976"},"modified":"2022-09-16T16:13:39","modified_gmt":"2022-09-16T20:13:39","slug":"announcing-the-2022-carleton-university-teaching-award-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/2022\/announcing-the-2022-carleton-university-teaching-award-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing the 2022 Carleton University Teaching Award Winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning), David Hornsby, is pleased to announce the outstanding educators who have been named 2022 Carleton University Teaching Award winners.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cee\/profile\/jeffrey-erochko\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jeffrey Erochko<\/a> (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering), <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/bgins\/people\/marylynn-steckley\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marylynn Steckley<\/a> (Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs) and <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/music\/people\/stewart-jesse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jesse Stewart<\/a> (School for Studies in Art and Culture: Music) have received the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/awards-and-grants\/internal-awards\/provosts-fellowship-in-teaching-award\/\">Provost\u2019s Fellowship in Teaching Award<\/a> for their dedication to teaching excellence and the scholarship of teaching and learning. They have also been designated as Carleton University teaching fellows.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socialwork\/people\/beth-martin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Beth Martin<\/a> (School of Social Work), <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/neuroscience\/profile\/zachary-patterson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zachary Patterson<\/a> (Department of Neuroscience) and <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cee\/profile\/shoeleh-shams\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shoeleh Shams<\/a> (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) have been honoured with the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/awards-and-grants\/internal-awards\/new-faculty-excellence-in-teaching-award\/\">New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award<\/a> for the energy they bring to their teaching and their pursuit of teaching excellence and innovation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/profile\/andrew-crosby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Crosby<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/socanth\/profile\/michael-follert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Follert,<\/a> contract instructors from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, have received the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/awards-and-grants\/internal-awards\/excellence-in-blended-and-online-teaching-award\/\">Excellence in Blended and Online Teaching Award<\/a> for their engaging teaching tools and techniques that have had an exceptional impact on student learning in online environments.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/tls\/awards-and-grants\/internal-awards\/excellence-in-learning-support-award\/\">Excellence in Learning Support Award<\/a> has gone to <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/foodscience\/people\/trinda-crippin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trinda Crippin<\/a> (Department of Chemistry) for her positive impact on student learning by incorporating experiential learning approaches in virtual labs.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to this year\u2019s winners!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning), David Hornsby, is pleased to announce the outstanding educators who have been named 2022 Carleton University Teaching Award winners.
