The Carleton University Library seeks to preserve and protect the work of video game developers, publishers, and artists, for use by a diverse array of players and researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was also an opportunity to play, learn and connect with one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following consoles and games were played:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"w-screen px-6 cu-section cu-section--white ml-offset-center md:px-8 lg:px-14\">\n    <div class=\"space-y-6 cu-max-w-child-5xl  md:space-y-10 cu-prose-first-last\">\n\n        \n    <div class=\"grid gap-6 mx-auto my-6 cu-column md:gap-10 md:grid-cols-2 md:my-10 first:mt-0\">\n        \n<div class=\"cu-column-content\">\n    \n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Classics\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donkey Kong, PacMan, Tetris, and more<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Consoles\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sega Genesis (with over 80 games)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Atari<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Super Nintendo and\u00a0Super Nintendo NES Classic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Virtual Reality Headsets\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>HoloLens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oculus Rift<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"cu-column-content\">\n    \n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<p>If you missed out, keep an eye out for future December dates, and get ready to play!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In collaboration with the Library, the Discovery Centre hosted its first ever Retro Gaming Night!
