From creating opportunities with artificial intelligence to fostering collaboration between instructors and students, <\/span>TLS has continued to make incredible progress on initiatives that ensure Carleton remains at the cutting edge in Canadian higher education. As we progress in the winter term, let\u2019s <\/span>take one last look back at fall 2024 and celebrate some of the accomplishments that shaped the term.  <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

652 instructors attended pedagogical workshops and consultations<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TLS continues to support the professional development of Carleton\u2019s teaching community in a variety of ways, including hosting communities of practice and offering workshops on topics that range from course design and development to applications of AI in teaching and learning.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Pathy Foundation Fellowships<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first year of the partnership between Carleton University and the <\/span>Pathy Foundation Fellowship<\/span><\/a>, two exceptional new graduates joined a national network of leaders and changemakers as recipients of this prestigious community-development fellowship program. They began their fellowship year in late summer with four weeks of training, and then started the 10-month Community Phase in the fall as they work towards developing and implementing their initiatives.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

410 students participated in FUSION<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The <\/span>FUSION skills development program<\/span><\/a> is a self-directed online learning experience that bridges academic and employability skills to educate the next generation of citizen scholars. The program enhances student skill development in several areas critical to 21st-century success and leadership, including communication, problem solving, collaboration, inclusivity and adaptability.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
