Reason For Participating<\/h3>\n

Research<\/h3>\n

I examined the applicability of effectuation to multi-sector collaboration. When multiple sectors (such as the triple helix of academia, industry and government) collaborate, they have the potential to generate innovative solutions to complex social problems. These \u201cinnovative solutions\u201d may <\/em>involve venture creation, which suggests there is merit in looking at whether theories of entrepreneurship (such as effectuation) can inform collaboration among sectors.<\/p>\n

My major task was to critically search through multiple online databases to examine disparate literatures in support of the overall research aims of the internship. I then drew on what I found to write a peer-reviewed journal article.<\/p>\n

Value of Experience<\/h3>\n

This experience enabled me to enhance my critical thinking and analytical skills. I-CUREUS provided me with the unique experience of working alongside a Sprott researcher.<\/p>\n

To Future Participants<\/h3>\n

I would tell people considering participating in this opportunity to do it.
