The NCC has announced its plans to initiate repairs to the two Hog’s Back Road bridges at separate times. The first project will begin in Aug. 2019.

Hog’s Back Swing Bridge Closure
The first repair will focus on the Hog’s Back swing bridge, which will be closed in August 2019 to August 28, 2020.
The bridge was custom designed and built more than 40 years ago. As many of the bridge’s components have reached the end of their life cycle, the bridge will be rehabilitated by the NCC to ensure reliable operation and safety for boaters, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. During the repairs a road closure will be in effect.
