Registrar’s Office Great Pumpkin Silent Auction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Once again, the Registrar\u2019s Office will be holding the Great Pumpkin Silent Auction in support of the United Way. Over the past 6 years, we have raised close to $5000<\/strong><\/span> with the help of campus-wide support for this initiative!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you would like to participate in the silent auction this year, or if you know a creative person who may want to get in on the fun, here are the details:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artificial \u201ccraft\u201d pumpkins or Halloween themed gift baskets:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pumpkin drop off:                          Monday, October 23rd<\/sup>  (between 8:30 am to 1:00 pm)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drop off location:                           Registrar\u2019s Office, 300 Tory<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silent auction ends:                       Friday, Oct 27th <\/sup>at 1:00 pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winner\u2019s pay\/pick up:                   Friday, Oct 27th<\/sup> (1:00 pm \u2013 4:00 pm)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freshly carved pumpkins<\/u><\/strong>*<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Sadly, in previous years we had some rotting pumpkins that didn\u2019t make it through the week. Therefore, due to the \u201cdecay factor\u201d we ask that any freshly carved pumpkins be dropped off mid-week. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please let me know if you wish to submit a pumpkin, all we need to know is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Your name and contact information<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Your department\u2019s name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Your pumpkin\u2019s name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Description of any incentives bundled with your pumpkin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

     <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Here are a few useful pumpkin carving tips:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Pumpkins can be painted, decorated, or carved<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • We accept any type of pumpkin or gourde (artificial craft pumpkins accepted<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Enhancements\/bundles are encouraged (a pumpkin may include gift a certificate or other items)<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • If you are carving a pumpkin, the fresher the better. (Tip: <\/em>i<\/em>t helps to slow decay if you wash the insides with a mild bleach solution and coat the cut edges with petroleum jelly<\/em>)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • I\u2019ve attached a few photos from previous years so that you can see some of the wonderful creations!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Lastly, be sure to drop by the Registrar\u2019s Office the last week in October to see some of the amazing pumpkins and to join in on the silent auction fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
