This experience helps students explore potential careers, plan their future paths in STEM, and encourages conversations with parents about career options. The event also allows our institution to share insights on education, career choices, and essential workplace skills. The <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/engineering-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Faculty of Engineering and Design <\/a>and Virtual Ventures are excited to host a day filled with hands-on activities, guided tours, and interactive sessions! Students will gain practical insight into engineering and design professions, exploring the skills, challenges, and opportunities these fields offer.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"cu-column-content\">\n    \n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/vv\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/150\/42-400x400.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8313\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"event-information\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Event Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When is it: <\/strong>Wednesday, November 5th, 9:00am-4:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who\u2019s Invited:<\/strong> Take Our Kids to Work Day is intended for grade 9 students however, we invite students in grades 9-12 to take part in this exciting day! Students with a parent who work at Carleton University are invited, and friends\/family members in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\u2019s Happening:<\/strong> Students will take part in hands-on engineering and design challenges, guided tours, and interactive sessions to explore future careers in STEM, connect with mentors, and discover various industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where\u2019s the Fun: <\/strong>Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How Can Everyone Join:<\/strong>&nbsp;We aim to make our events accessible and inclusive to all youth.
