Virtual Ventures employees are changing the future of Canada by helping youth build their scientific thinking and digital literacy skills to help youth move from simply consuming technology to being innovative producers of technology. We are looking for individuals who are innovative, team players, and passionate about STEM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Job Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • As a Junior STEM Camp Instructor for Virtual Ventures, you will be responsible for delivering STEM content through summer camps.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Programs are hosted on the Carleton University campus.  <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All staff will receive thorough training in areas such as first aid, behavioural conditions, equity, classroom management, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • You will be supported by the full-time management team and work closely with the university student team as well as other high school students and volunteers. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

    Work Term<\/strong>: Training – June 24 to 26, Summer Camp – June 29 to August 21, 202<\/span>6<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hourly wage<\/strong>: $18\/hour <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

    • Attend and be prepared for each day of camp<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Be responsible for small groups of campers in a specified grade from Kindergarten to Grade 9 <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Take initiative and problem solve when problems arise in camp<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Listen and participate in discussions with campers, staff members, and leadership team<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

      • Youth aged 16-18<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Prior experience in Virtual Ventures programs, volunteering in summer camps is an asset<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Computer literacy required and basic programming is an asset<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Strong leadership abilities<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills<\/span> <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
