Google Analytics is a super useful tool, but it can be overwhelming. By taking the time to set up some basic recurring reports, you’ll be able to easily get useful info on your web traffic and have it emailed right to you.
A recurring report lets you:
- Choose exactly what you want to see and have it emailed to you – you don’t have to log in to analytics or remember where you found what!
- Create comparisons so you can see trends and how traffic changes over time.
- Share reports with other people on your team.
How to Create and Send a Google Analytics Report
- Login to analytics and go to the report you want to share (e.g., Audience > Overview).
- Change the date range to include “Compare to previous period” in order to compare data from week to week (optional).
- Click “Share” at the top right of your screen.
- In the pop-up window, type in your email address. You can send it to others by typing in multiple email addresses.
- Change the frequency to weekly (or however often you’d like to receive the report!)
- Check off the spam filter marked “I am not a robot.”
- Click “Send” and your email will be scheduled!
