There are two main ways you can create a new page: from the dashboard navigation area or through the new Admin Bar that is accessible while browsing the front-facing side of the website.
Add a New Page
Create a New Page from the Dashboard Navigation
- From the Main Navigation Panel, hover over Pages.
- From the expanded menu, click Add New.
Create a New Page Using the Admin Bar
- Move your mouse over the + New option in the admin bar.
- From the expanded menu, click Page.
Delete a Page
There are two ways to delete a page from a site: from the Edit Pages screen and from the Publish Module.
To delete a page from the Edit Pages screen:
- Click Pages from the Main Navigation Panel. A list of existing pages will load.
- Scroll down through the list of pages and locate the one to delete.
- Hover your cursor over the page name and click Trash which will appear underneath the page name.
To delete a page from the Publish Module:
- Open the page you would like to delete.
- Open the document settings by selecting the cog icon on the right side.
- Select Status and Visibility.
- Click on the red Move to Trash link.
To delete several pages at once:
- Click Pages from the Main Navigation Panel and a list of existing pages will load.
- Check the boxes next to the names of the pages you would like to delete.
- From the Bulk Actions drop-down menu at the top of the list, select Move to Trash.
- Click Apply.
Recover a Deleted Page
1. Click Pages from the Main Navigation Panel and your list of existing pages will load.
2. Above the list of pages, click Trash – this is where your deleted pages appear.
3. Find the page you wish to recover and hover over the title.
4. Click Restore and the page will reappear on the list of current pages for your site.
Save, Schedule, and Publish a Page
Saving your page as a draft gives you the option of opening it up at a later date and continuing to create content without the page being visible on the site. Publishing your page makes it immediately visible on the live site.
To Save your Page in Draft Form:
- Create a new page.
- In the top right corner, select Save Draft.
- Click View Page to view your saved draft.
4. Even though you can view this draft, it is not visible on the live site until you publish it.
To Return to a Saved Draft:
- Click Pages in the Main Navigation Panel.
- At the top of the list, you will see a filter for Drafts.
- Click on Drafts and enter the page name into the search bar, or scroll through the list to find your page.
To Publish a Page:
- From the top menu bar, click Publish.
To Set Publishing Dates or Schedules:
You may continue to edit or add content to this page before it goes live without affecting the schedule.
1. Create a new page.
2. Open the document settings by selecting the cog icon on the right side.
3. Select Status and Visibility.
4. Click the Immediately link located next to ‘Publish’.
5. From the drop-down menu select the month, insert the date, year and the time you would like the page to go live.
