To make your website accessible:<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. Have a plan that takes accessibility into account right from the start<\/li>\n
  2. Know your audience<\/li>\n
  3. Plan the structure of your website \u2013 does your navigation make sense?<\/li>\n
  4. Use descriptive and relevant titles<\/li>\n
  5. Use proper heading formats (H1, H2, H3\u2026)<\/li>\n
  6. Stick with the inverted paragraph<\/li>\n
  7. Break up long paragraphs \u2013 no more than 50 words per paragraph<\/li>\n
  8. Write short sentences \u2013 between 20 and 40 words (avoid filler words, keep language simple)<\/li>\n
  9. Break up the text with bullets<\/li>\n
  10. Do not use characters in place of letters<\/li>\n
  11. Avoid all caps and italics<\/li>\n
  12. Use keywords for the anchor text instead of the actual URL or \u201cClick Here\u201d<\/li>\n
  13. Open PDFs and external websites in a new tab<\/li>\n
  14. Create multiple ways to locate a webpage<\/li>\n
  15. Use alt tags \u2013 is it informational or decorative?<\/li>\n
  16. Do not use images that only have text on them<\/li>\n
  17. Use a service to create closed captions for your video<\/li>\n
  18. Host all videos with a third party service that possesses all the stipulated video controls (Pause, play, forward and rewind)<\/li>\n
  19. Provide transcripts of your video (remember you already have these if you created a script!<\/li>\n
  20. Ensure that transcribed text meets other accessibility standards<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Use automatic assessment and assistive technologies<\/li>\n
    2. Do user testing and get feedback<\/li>\n
