This will help your visitors easily find the information they are looking for. <em>And<\/em> take the intended action or next step. In other words, your web pages will be purposeful and useful.<\/p>\n<h3>Ideal place to start<\/h3>\n<p>You have or work on a website and want to revise and restructure pages to make them better, more user friendly and accessible<\/p>\n<h3>LOs<\/h3>\n<p>Clarify &#8211; some combo of<\/p>\n<p>By the end of this course, you\u2019ll know how to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>communicate online with copy that meets both readers\u2019 needs and communication objectives<\/li>\n<li>write in the right voice and tone for your audience<\/li>\n<li>recognize effective web content<\/li>\n<li>make edits that improve copy<\/li>\n<li>use tools and processes to make web writing easier<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students will be successful in this course if they can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>-express ideas clearly and concisely on the web (language)<\/li>\n<li>-anticipate the needs of their visitor and understand how people read online<\/li>\n<li>-organize and structure material on their web pages so that it is scannable and user-friendly<\/li>\n<li>-lead people to the next course of action (another page, register, intent of page)<\/li>\n<li>-make edits to existing content to improve it for web usability<\/li>\n<li>-make it repeatable \u2013 process for adding new copy (checklist, tools)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Course Outline \/ Modules<\/h2>\n<p>Module 1: How we read online<br \/>\nModule 2: Create Purposeful Web Content<br \/>\nModule 3: Use your Words Wisely \u2013 Be Clear.
