My name is Athena, my family calls me Tina and my baby sister calls me “T”. I am a retired Vanderbilt Samoyed beauty queen who is now dedicating my time as a certified Carleton Therapy Dog.

I am 8 years old but still young at heart. I love winter, chasing squirrels and bunnies, food (especially cheese), playing with my brother Zeus and enjoying ALL the human cuddles!

I hope you’ll come visit me during my outings around campus. I am super soft and cuddly – I may shed just a little, but my friendly handler always has a lint roller close by.

I don’t like being alone. Studies have shown that petting a dog can reduce human anxiety and stress, but did you know that by petting me, you are also helping reduce my anxiety? So thank you to all my cuddlers!
