“A Canadian Muslim Woman – Sketches of Alia Hogben” was screened for the first time at a conference organized by Dr. Ummni Khan, the Joint Chair in Women’s Studies (Carleton University & University of Ottawa).  The conference was held on November 14, 2017 at the University of Ottawa and was entitled “Muslim Women: Identities, Labels, and Lived Experiences.”

The video of the interview with Alia Hogben, the Executive Director of the Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW), is now available for viewing on Vimeo. The video was created by Rahat Kurd (director), Farhat Rehman (associate producer), Bessa Whitmore (associate producer and Professor Emerita at Carleton University School of Social Work), and Stuart Cryer (producer).
