Garnet Angeconeb is a community member of Sioux Lookout and was a journalist who founded the Sioux Lookout Anti-racism Committee. He is a strong advocate for recognizing the legacy of the Indian Residential Schools and needs of survivors and received the Order of Canada in 2012.
