The role that you have in a meeting is designated by the host.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Host<\/strong>: The user that scheduled the meeting. They have full permissions to manage the meeting. There can only be one host of a meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/206330935\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Co-hosts<\/a><\/strong>: Shares most of the controls that hosts have, allowing the co-host to manage the administrative side of the meeting, such as managing attendees. The host must\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/206330935-Enabling-and-Adding-a-Co-Host\">assign a co-host<\/a>\u00a0during the meeting. Co-hosts cannot start a meeting. If a host needs someone else to start the meeting, they can assign an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/208220166-Alternative-Host\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">alternative host<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/208220166\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alternative hosts<\/a><\/strong>: Shares the same controls as co-hosts, but can also start the meeting.
