It’s still a work in progress, but the Web Services team is working on a virtual Web Accessibility Training. This course will be self-guided and self-paced, with the content available as text, as well as video (with captions and transcripts, of course!) to accommodate different learning styles. Our six modules are focused on: about accessibility, text, images, videos, tables, and a checklist to review your website. We also have further resources and “take action” activities incorporated into each unit.

Our goal is to have everyone who takes the course (a) understand the importance of web accessibility and (b) be able to implement web accessibility best practices on their website. We’re really excited about this project and hope to have it finished sometime this summer.
