Richard McKercher
M.A.Sc. Candidate
Degrees: | B.Eng. (Memorial) |
Richard completed his B.Eng at Memorial University of Newfoundland in Mechanical Engineering where he received a NSERC USRA for dynamic cable modeling research. Richard is working towards a M.A.Sc. in Aerospace engineering. He is researching the behavior of autonomous aerial vehicles operating in the urban environment, also referred to as Urban Air Mobility. The goal is to create a dynamic model of a general vehicle design and a flight controller to operate the vehicle within the turbulent urban environment. Richard is supervised by Dr. Fidel Khouli at Carleton University, Dr. Alanna Wall at NRC, and Dr. Guy Larose at RWDI.
