Our unique state-of-the-art environmental test facility called the Wind Induced Dynamics Laboratory (WInD Lab) is designed for investigating the transient dynamics of wind turbines. It will enable the study of transient operating conditions while allowing turbine blade response, noise emissions, and fluid mechanics to be measured accurately. The WInD Lab will comprise a 24 m long, 5 m wide, and 3 m high environmental wind chamber including atmospheric boundary layer conditioning with a large 14 m long instrumented anechoic test section with base motion capability.
