Debb came to Carleton as a student and was placed in a suite on the “accessible” floor of Glengarry House. After becoming friends with many of the students with disabilities who lived there, she began working as an attendant in September of 1988. She became Manager of Direct Services in 2004.
Debb and Pascal work continuously to make sure the program is running efficiently and safely for all involved. Some of their duties include completing and monitoring the client service plans, training, scheduling and supervising more than sixty staff, and scheduling all services. Clients are encouraged to stop by at any time to provide feedback or address service issues. In working to ensure the program is operating at peak efficiency 24 hours per day at two locations, they may be tempted to quote Carleton University’s official motto when describing their own work – “Ours the Task Eternal”.
