Matthew began managing the Attendant Services program in 1993 after working as a front line attendant starting in 1989 to pay for University. He holds undergraduate degrees in both law and social work as well as a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management.
As director, Matthew is responsible for the overall operations of the Attendant Services program, including the budget. In addition to his duties with the program itself, Matthew addresses accessibility issues on campus.
Matthew encourages all students to make the most of their post-secondary experience by getting involved with as many activities as possible. He likes to quote a former President of Carleton University who once remarked, “I trust your time spent with us will be an enjoyable and educational experience both inside and outside the classroom. I sincerely hope that you will reflect back on your years here and remember them as among your happiest”.
