Aala is a fourth year B.Sc. Psychology student at Carleton University. She is currently completing her honours thesis under the supervision of Dr. Jo-Anne LeFevre. Aala is interested in the field of developmental psychology with a research concentration examining how early numeracy skills are developed in children. Upon graduation, Aala intends to complete her Masters in Education to pursue a career in educational counselling.
