Dividing his academic work between Trent University and Albert- Ludwig-Universitat Freiburg, he quickly developed an interest for the field of psycholinguistics. Matthew graduated with a joint-major B.A. in Psychology and German Studies in 2011. Under the supervision of Michael-Chan Reynolds, Matthew examined the influence of phonological rule sets on the reading proficiency of sequential bilinguals.
Matthew completed his M.A. in Psychology under the supervision of Jo-Anne LeFevre. He is currently working at the Department of National Defense.
