Taking their long-standing co-operation to another level, on March 18th the Centre for Governance and Public Management and CGPM signed an official agreement to partner in delivering professional development courses for parliamentarians and stakeholders interacting with parliaments, such as public officials, civil society groups and others from various countries around the world. The courses, which combine academic and practitioner perspectives, offer an opportunity for interested trainees to upgrade their skills and knowledge in important areas as taxation in federal states, taxation in resource-based economies, sustainable energy and the role of parliamentarians, and communication, outreach and engagement skills for elected officials. Upon completion of the courses the trainees will receive joint certificates from Carleton University and the Parliamentary Centre.
