RELI 3850 will be a concentrated study course in which students will be expected to participate in some preliminary lectures before departure and 21 days of travel in Turkey and Greece. Course content will focus on early Christianity and material culture, Greco-Roman archaeology, history, art and religion.

There will be required sessions at archaeological sites and museums each morning and most afternoons. These will include lectures by faculty, and time to explore sites and ask questions. There are also optional activities such as more strenuous hikes and visits to additional places of interest.
