Title of MRE: Role of the Troubadours in the Religious Public Sphere During the Middle Ages
Current/Future Plans: I’ve always been playing the violin on the side since I was young, although never seriously enough to consider becoming a professional musician. As an extra curricular activity I joined the Carleton Chamber Music Ensemble throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies. During my Master’s, I needed grocery money so I taught music out of my tiny basement apartment…. and now I make a living being a private violin teacher and a performer! People often asked me what I’d do after finishing my master’s degree in religious studies. My reply was always automatic: “I don’t know!” Does anybody ever know? I consider my current job as an indirect and happy result of my post-secondary education.
