Tuesday, November 29 is #GivingTuesdayCA – a 24-hour movement dedicated to the spirit of collaboration and compassion around the world, within Canada, and right here at Carleton. For the fourth consecutive year, the Carleton community is coming together in support of innovative student projects, inspiring research initiatives and real-world learning opportunities. Carleton’s fundraising goal – for November 29 alone – is $150,000!

The Institute of Cognitive Science is participating directly in this year’s campaign by showcasing the Andrew Brook Cognitive Science Scholarship Fund. Andy was the founder of the graduate program in Cognitive Science and of the Institute of Cognitive Science, and he is known for his outstanding research in cognitive science and philosophy.

But did you know that Andy has been funding a Cognitive Science Graduate Scholarship for many years? We want to let everyone know about his generous support for graduate students in Cognitive Science at Carleton. And to show how much his support means to us, we want to increase the value of this scholarship as much as possible.

On November 29th, The Institute of Cognitive Science hopes to raise $5,000 for the Andrew Brook Cognitive Science Graduate Scholarship.  And this year, the impact of every gift that is made on FutureFunder.ca will go twice as far. For twenty-four hours, every gift will be matched, dollar-for-dollar (up to $1000 per gift).
