Eric Imbeault

Eric graduated from the M.Cog.Sc. in Cognitive Science.

Prior to the M.Cog.Sc., Eric graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelors of Science with a specialisation in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy.

Already in his undergrad, he was always interested with questions of the mind and was at times frustrated with the rigidity of exclusion between the “strict” sciences and the philosophical “cloud shovelling”. But this exact intersection between philosophy, psychology, neuroscience, and other fields, is what drove him to cognitive science at Carleton. This program allowed him to explore interests that he had in philosophy of mind and philosophy of language pertaining to the collective contributions of knowledge from interdisciplinary approaches to cognition.

While in the program he worked under the supervision of Eros Corazza exploring contemporary debates surrounding the theories of embodied and extended cognition.
