Kasia Muldner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cognitive Science at Carleton University. Her research is focused on student learning and creativity, both in terms of investigating factors that influence outcomes of interest (such as performance, learning, mindset beliefs, originality of ideas, affect) as well as the design of interventions and/or technologies that support students in the instructional process.
Prior to joining the DCS faculty, Muldner was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Psychology in the Learning and Cognition Lab and then a Research Scientist at Arizona State University in Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering in the Motivational Environments Lab. She received her PhD from the Laboratory for Computational Intelligence at the University of British Columbia.
