My research is mainly focused on exploring how philosophical concepts, computational tools, and neuroscience can be used to gain a more nuanced and integrative understanding of consciousness as a multidimensional phenomenon grounded on cognitive, behavioral, and functional grounds.

Specifically, I investigate how we can better understand how consciousness is distorted by mental disorders and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease.
