Alisdair MacRae is an instructor for the School of Industrial Design, currently teaching an introductory course on the theory and history of Industrial Design (IDES 1000). For the Digital Pedagogy Project, he is working with former teaching assistant and Master’s of Design candidate Kimia Tajmir to add multimedia elements to non-graded review quizzes to see how it may influence student participation levels with the quizzes and overall performance on the graded tests.
Kimia Tajmir graduated from the Art University of Isfahan with a focus on ceramic design within Islamic Art. During her undergraduate studies, she explored art philosophy, history, and aesthetics, nurturing her passion for research and design analysis. Currently pursuing a Master of Design at Carleton University in Canada, she aims to deepen her understanding of the impact of design thinking in craftsmanship.
