The Digital Pedagogy project has now launched its pilot initiatives, having recruited ten instructors to participate in our study. Each of the ten pilot initiatives is either a course redesign, or the development of a new course module or assignment. Each initiative entails use of open-access resources and/or multimedia materials.

The ten participating instructors come from across Carleton faculties, and teach courses ranging from introductory to graduate level. For the purposes of our study, each instructor completed a questionnaire before starting on their course development. Participants are now developing their new course components, which they will test in courses taught in the fall of 2023 or winter of 2024. Once they have completed their course delivery, they will participate in a follow-up in-depth interview to help us assess which approaches work well in different pedagogical settings, as well as to identify existing challenges and opportunities associated with different digital teaching tools.

More information about their initiatives will be communicated in the coming months.
