Just in time for your summer work plans, we invite you to join us for a workshop on open access publishing. If you are not familiar with the “back-end” of open access, you are likely to have many questions related to its technologies and academic rigour.
We will introduce you to the now commonly used publishing platform, Pressbooks, and share our own experiences with the technological aspects of the platform, and the ways of managing peer review in this context – whether you are thinking about publishing research results or developing open educational resources.
We ask all participants to create a Pressbook account ahead of the workshop. These accounts have been made free to us through eCampusOntario.
The workshop will take place on Wed April 9 from 1pm-2:30pm in the MacOdrum Library.
