The first Carleton University Digital Strategy and Roadmap officially launches today. This strategy has been developed over two years, and reflects insights and feedback from more than 1,000 students, faculty and staff who participated through consultations, an online feedback form and social media.
As the strategy’s aspiration states, we see technology as an enabler–a mechanism to enhance the ingenuity and potential of our students, staff, researchers, instructors and community partners.
The strategy provides Carleton with the ability to enhance our digital practices and is accompanied by a roadmap that supports our evolution–guided by intention, responsibility, and innovation. With the mission pillars of Research, Student Experience, Teaching and Learning, and Organizational Excellence and the accompanying priorities, the Digital Strategy and Roadmap aligns with the university’s Strategic Integrated Plan (SIP).
This is an exciting accomplishment and we wish to thank Marc Dabros (ITS), David Hornsby (Teaching and Learning Services) and Nancy Arnold (Office of Quality Initiatives) for leading this initiative. Members of the Digital Strategy Working Group and Advisory Committee played a pivotal role in shaping the strategy.
We encourage all members of the Carleton community to read the Digital Strategy and Roadmap.
