I am writing to invite you to participate in a workshop with autism self-advocate Guðlaug Svala Steinunnar Kristjánsdóttir on the morning of Thursday, November 14, 10 am-Noon.
Guðlaug will be traveling to Ottawa from Iceland as part of the “Seeing the Unseen” film screening taking place at Carleton the evening of Friday, November 15. Among other topics, Guðlaug will discuss gender and invisible disability as well as supports we can provide as educators and front-line workers.

Please join us on Friday, November 15 at 6 pm for a screening of the film “Seeing the Unseen,” an Icelandic film about women on the autism spectrum (ASD) in Richcraft Hall Theatre (RH 2200) at Carleton University. This film follows several women who find support with others who have similar struggles and experiences. (See trailer link below). A panel including autism self-advocates will follow the screening.
