DSAAI-Specific
- Do I need to submit more than one application if I am interested in working with more than one supervisor from different departments?
-
Please only apply to one DSAAI degree program. You should apply to the degree program based on the department in which your preferred first-choice supervisor is located. You may select faculty members from another department for your following choices; you would not need to apply again. However, if you decide to accept an offer with a supervisor in a department that is different from the degree program you applied to, you will need to change your DSAAI degree program to follow that of your assigned supervisor. This will be done internally.
- Are the DSAAI programs open to international students?
-
Yes, the DSAAI programs are open to international students.
- Do I need to select a supervisor when applying to the program? Is it a must?
-
This depends on the type of DSAAI program stream you opt for.
Thesis and coursework streams require a supervisor. The coursework stream does not require a supervisor.
For thesis and coursework streams, in your application, you must select at least one potential supervisor you would like to work with within your desired research area of interest. See the list of potential supervisors here: DSAAI Faculty.
DSAAI Faculty have access to all applications. If the faculty member(s) listed in your application decide not to accept you as their student, then your file will be open to all DSA faculty members for consideration. Supervision is based on the program degree. If you agree with the supervision of a faculty member in a different department, you will be required to change your DSA degree designation. This will be done internally.
