Admission Requirements

The requirements for admission to DSAAI programs are listed here.

Application Deadlines

As indicated in Application Deadlines, the deadline for DSAAI programs is March 1st. Please note that DSAAI only offers admissions for the Fall.

Required Documents for the Application

To apply to DSAAI programs, these documents are required.

  1. Transcripts
  2. CV/Resume
  3. Statement of Intent
  4. Two Letters of Reference

Note: If you are required to provide Proof of Language Proficiency, you do not need to provide an official language test score at the time of application. If an offer of admission is made to you, then, it will be conditional on providing your ESL test score, if applicable.

* Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is not required.

Note: If you receive an Offer of Admission as an international student, your offer might be conditional on providing a Course-by-Course evaluation (WES ICAP) of your transcripts from World Education Services (WES Canada).

After you have submitted your online application and your application fee has been processed for your DSAAI application, you will be instructed on how to upload your required documents in Carleton Central. Please follow the instructions on Required Documents | Graduate Admissions to comply with the necessary specifications for each record.

Supervisors

It is highly encouraged that applicants try and secure a supervisor beforehand. Applicants are still welcome to apply if they are not able to secure a supervisor. In your application, you will need to select at least one potential supervisor you would like to work with within your desired research area of interest. Please see the list of potential supervisors at DSAAI Faculty. DSAAI Faculty member(s) have access to all applications.
