InsightsLegally blind refers to someone with a visual acuity of less than 6/60 or 20/200 or who has a field of vision of less than 20 degrees. In other words, a person who is legally blind would have to stand 20 feet from an object to see it with the same degree of clarity as someone with normal vision could see from 200 feet.
