InsightsIf you have a student with an auditory learning disability in your class, he or she may find it very helpful if you provide information about changes to assignments, due dates, homework questions and other in-class information in writing, perhaps through email or posting on the course website, even though they will likely have an accommodation plan. Although this may take a little extra time, it helps to ensure that not only this student but all your students have the same information. Furthermore, many students with a mild hearing loss don’t identify themselves as students with a disability but would also benefit from being able to access information in text.
