We are a group of social work practitioners and students committed to eco consciousness, and just social work practice and community action. We are praxis oriented and seek to expand our own and our profession’s understanding of our world’s ecological crises and the opportunities and responsibilities we have to respond to it in our personal and professional lives. We work in respect for and as allies with diverse people and communities in Canada and around the world, and with a recognition of the ways that climate change disproportionately impacts those experiencing the Social Determinants of Health, including economic, social and political marginalization.
