On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the European Union’s 2004 enlargement, the Jean Monnet Chair in the EU Relations with Russia and the Eastern Neighbourhood organized a workshop on “The EU’s 2004 Enlargements in Central and Eastern Europe: Assessing the Impact 15 years On”. This workshop, held at Carleton University in February 2019, featured leading experts who addressed political, social, and economic impacts of accession on the acceding countries.
Revised articles based on selected presentations at that workshop have now been published (June 2020) in the Canadian Journal of European and Russian Studies. You may access the articles here.
